What we collect
- Account: name, email address and profile photo from your Google or Apple sign-in.
- Learning progress: lessons listened to, position, completions and activation history.
- Learner number: a sequential passport number the app assigns to your account and shows on the in-app language passport. We generate it ourselves; it contains no personal information and is deleted with your account.
- Advertising identifiers: used by Google AdMob to serve rewarded ads.
- Approximate location: a coarse, IP-derived location at city level, used by Google AdMob for ad serving and analytics. The app never requests precise (GPS) location.
- Technical data: device model, app version, anonymous usage statistics, and diagnostics and performance data through Google services. If you allow notifications, a push token that identifies this device to Firebase Cloud Messaging is stored so we can notify you of a reply or news; it is removed when you sign out.
- Requests you send us: if you use “Write to us” in Settings, the topic you pick and the text you write, together with the app version and device model, are stored so we can look into it and reply. Not shared with anyone.
How it is used and shared
- Solely to run the service: keeping your account working, syncing progress across devices, verifying ad-based lesson unlocks, and keeping the app stable. Advertising identifiers and the IP-derived approximate location are shared with Google AdMob for advertising and analytics. Your data is never sold.
- When you watch a rewarded ad to unlock a lesson, your account identifier — not your name or email — is passed to Google AdMob so the reward can be verified on our servers before the lesson is granted.

Lesson audio protection
Every lesson you unlock is delivered in a form that is personal to you. Depending on the lesson, that is either a personal audio file carrying a hidden 128-bit marker derived from your account, the lesson and its version, or a personal playlist that picks, piece by piece, between pre-rendered variants of the same lesson audio — there it is the order of that selection that is derived from your account, the lesson and its version. Both are designed to be inaudible and change nothing about the lesson itself. They exist only to trace lesson audio shared outside the app: on its own the marker identifies nobody, and it is resolved manually by our staff — never by the app, never automatically. A personal audio file is stored with Cloudflare R2 for as long as your account exists; a personal playlist is short-lived and is deleted within a day, and the shared audio pieces it points to are ordinary lesson content, not personal data. Deleting your account removes your personal audio file and the record that links the marker to you.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and the data attached to it from inside the app (Account → Delete account) or by following these instructions. Deletion is irreversible. Technical records kept to prevent abuse — which lesson was streamed, the IP address and the time — are retained for up to 12 months after deletion, and once the account is gone they are no longer linked to your name or email.
